Press release

Proxy Digital is now Quintessence Group

Quintessence Group, Inc.—previously Proxy Digital—now operates under the Quintessence Group name. The same entity and team, behind Aether, Scoped, and Charter.

The announcement.

Quintessence Group, Inc. today announced that the company now operates under the name Quintessence Group. It was previously known as Proxy Digital. The name is new. The legal entity, the team, and the work already underway are unchanged.

Why this name.

Quintessence is the fifth element: the idea of something essential beyond earth, water, fire, and air. We took it for a specific reason. Our work has become three distinct products—memory, project context, and authorized action—each useful on its own, each shaped by the same conviction. We wanted a name for what connects them, without claiming they already operate as one system.

That distinction matters to us. The four colors of our ribbon carry the idea across the company: distinct parts, held together by something shared. What Aether, Scoped, and Charter have in common today is a standard we build toward—lasting context, clear authority, and work people can review. It is a shared philosophy, not an integration.

What we build.

Quintessence Group builds focused software for people putting AI to work. Three products, with different capabilities and availability:

Aether
Memory with sources.

Persistent context that helps an agent begin a new interaction with more of what already matters, with its sources still in reach.

For developers building AI agents.

Explore Aether
Scoped
Plans with attribution.

Projects, decisions, and responsibilities in a shared plan, where authorized updates from external agents remain attributable.

For people coordinating work with teams and agents.

Explore Scoped
Charter
Actions with receipts.

An intended outcome turned into reviewable work. People approve the specific action, and a run leaves a record of what happened.

For small businesses. Invite-only pilot.

Explore Charter

Each product is useful on its own. There is no requirement to adopt a suite before one tool becomes worth having.

What changes.

Quintessence Group, Inc. is the same legal entity, operating under a new name. Correspondence, invoices, and agreements carry that name going forward.

The company’s website is quintessencegroup.com, and email reaches us at hello@quintessencegroup.com. The Proxy Digital site at proxydigital.io remains in place for now.

What does not.

Existing agreements, points of contact, and work in progress continue unchanged. The people you have been working with are the same people. The rename asks nothing of current clients or partners.

The commitments underneath the name are the ones we were already building toward: understanding that outlasts a single conversation, a shared record for shared work, an explicit boundary between capability and permission, and results that can be inspected rather than taken on faith.
